Writer • Artist • Fashion Consultant

Kri Yamada is a writer, artist, and global fashion futurist. Her creative praxis explores themes of identity, spirit, ecologies of relation and non-linear time as invitations to deeper meaning, connection and belonging. Yamada’s work is grounded in the paradox of re-integrating fragmented pieces of self, while releasing the notion of “self” altogether.

Her art is included in The Remembrance Gallery on the grounds of the former Puyallup Assembly Center concentration site and the Washington State Queer Poetry Anthology.

Kri’s work in fashion spans the creative and business spheres of the industry as a Creative Direction Consultant, Fashion Forecaster, Global Trend Reporter, Senior Brand Manager, Product Developer and Buyer. Her craft has been honed within iconic design houses, multi-channel retailers and start-ups alike, carrying her from coast-to-coast and style capitals worldwide.

She is an alumna of the Fashion Institute of Technology (New York) summa cum laude, Polimoda (Italy) and the University of Nicosia (Cyprus). Kri’s been seen in Marie Claire, W, Elle UK, and VEVO, among others.
